Tuscany
Ok, this is going to be one heck of a posting. First off Wi-fi has been not so available, and to be honest I haven't been looking too hard. I am loving life. For starters for all you bikers out there who have not been to Europe. Come. For those of you who have been and have not been to Italy, Tuscany, to be more specific.. pack your bags and hop on a plane. I am telling you there is nothing like it. I have biked in the French Alps and in the Spanish Pyrennes and they are spectaular, but this trip has been by far the most beautiful.
the group is now complete. We all came together yesterday and met up in Florence. We are now in a town called Radda. The hotel we are at is very very very nice. I am coming back.
Ok, I don't want to blab on, I'll post some pics with descriptions to give you a taste of what my life has been this past week.
The Alp D'Huez was fun. For all you bikers out there and the ones who give me a hard time for having a triple up front... I will have you know I made it my goal to stay in my middle chain ring and completed that goal and felt great. Although at the final switchback at the top I almost gave in, but all pain is temporary and I stuck it out.
Ok, off to pics. I'll update more later, but after seeing some of these pics you may not want to talk to me for awhile. Right now it's Sunday at 3:30 in the afternoon. We just did a 50 mile ride with 4000 ft of climbing. All of it breathtaking. The rest of the day is ours and wait till you see pics of the pool we have that overlooks the vineyards. The town we are in is known for it's Chianti.
The weather has been fabulous and the outlook for the week looks good. It's a great group of folks and every morning I am amazed at them all.
More soon..
Reb
